Incorrect brushing methods can lead to loose and falling teeth
With the development of human society and the operation of high technology, the pressure on most people's lives and work has increased, and their sense of time has also become heavier. Every morning, from the moment we open our eyes, we quickly enter a busy state. Even if some people are very idle, most people do not pay attention to the method of brushing their teeth. Not paying attention to the method of brushing teeth, uneven brushing can lead to the formation of dental plaque on local teeth due to incomplete brushing. Long term dental plaque infection can gradually turn into tartar in the oral cavity.
The formation of dental calculus involves three processes: plaque formation, maturation, and mineralization. The first two steps are actually the process of plaque formation. After the formation of plaque, it becomes the organic matrix of mineralization deposition, which is the core of mineralization. The mineralization components of supragingival calculus come from saliva, and subgingival calculus comes from gingival crevicular fluid. Mineralization gradually deposits in the plaque matrix, and then the matrix completely calcifies, and bacteria also calcifie. Calcification first appears as small lesions, gradually increases, and fuses with each other to form large dental calculus
The formation of subgingival calculus is mostly deposited at the edge of the periodontal ligament, between the dry enamel and the gums. As dental calculus gradually grows larger, it can damage the periodontal ligament, causing the gums to constantly shrink, the alveolar bone to slowly absorb, and the root of the tooth to expose more and more. As a result, the teeth will unconsciously fall out.
In our clinical diagnosis at Vickong Dental, we often see in CBCT images that in addition to overall gingivitis, some clients also have local (gingivitis) periodontal disease, which is caused by incorrect brushing methods and habits. Some have loose front teeth and only a little gingivitis in the back teeth. In most cases, they tend to brush the back teeth frequently and neglect to brush the front teeth. Some front teeth are in good condition, but the molars are loose and falling off. In most cases, it is a habit of brushing the front teeth frequently and neglecting to brush the back teeth.
Our Dentist overall customers oral hygience to customers and recommend paying attention to correct brushing methods, buying fine and soft bristled toothbrushes, brushing evenly and evenly, and regularly cleaning teeth. It is recommended to scaling at least once a year, and if there is gingivitis, it is best to scaling twice a year. At the same time as scaling, do oral examinations and ask the doctor to help compare the oral condition every time.
